Learning more deeply about an artist’s life brings meaning and connection to the body of work.
Kurt O. Weber (1937-2011) was a Swiss-born, Paris-educated, German abstract expressionist. His teachers and mentors were André Lhote, Alberto Giacometti. This week I had the pleasure of bringing some collectors to the home of curator and art historian, Katherine Cook. She is the foremost expert on Kurt O. Weber and gave our collectors an up-close look at the meaning behind the paintings that they have in their homes. Each of them received a brush from the artist’s studio.
