Panelists:

Ray Beldner  artist, educator, co-founder of the stARTup Art Fair  joins us to teach professional art practices and answer questions about running your art business. Beldner taught Art Practical, a course at UCSF for many years. It was a 16 week course on all the practical stuff about being a professional fine artist. Pricing, goals, marketing, studio, art world concerns etc. Take advantage of this opportunity, he is very well known in the Bay Area art scene and beyond.

Heather Marx, For over 20 years, Principal of HMxAA, Heather Marx, has lived, collected, and worked with art in both academic and professional contexts. She received her Masters of Art History from the University of California, Santa Barbara and worked in the flourishing Los Angeles and San Francisco art scenes of the 1990s. In 2001, she established what would ultimately become Marx & Zavattero, a leading contemporary gallery in San Francisco known for a strong, cutting edge program.

Michele Pred is an internationally exhibited artist who has been teaching professional practices to artists for ten years and currently Adjunct Professor at California College of the Arts, where she teaches Professional Practices. She has led workshops and portfolio reviews for Center for Cultural Innovation, Pro Arts Gallery, Kala Art Center, the Di Rosa, BayVAN and Napa Valley Arts Council.
